Censorship is the suppression or banning of books, movies, music, or other forms of art and expression that are seen as a threat to society. Censorship affects our First Amendment rights, specifically our freedom of speech. It suppresses our voices and removes opportunities for people to learn. Often, it attempts to eliminate diverse beauty from the worlds of entertainment, literature, and art.

Join us in protesting censorship by attending and supporting our Banned Book Pop-Up event! Adventure Bound Books will bring historically and contemporarily banned or challenged books that will be available for purchase from 2-8 pm on June 11th.

10% of the proceeds of the event’s book sales will be reinvested into the Adventure Bound Scholarship for high school seniors in our area to increase the amount given in 2022 or fund a second scholarship to be awarded in 2022.

Wicked Vegan Food Truck will be on-site serving up wicked good food so grab eats, your favorite beverage from Fonta Flora, and purchase a banned book or two !
