Delivery driver

Location:  Nebo, NC – North Carolina Territory

FLSA Classification/Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: Logistics Manager

We are currently seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to chauffeur our delicious beverages to their new homes throughout the State of NC. 

Job Purpose

The Fonta Flora Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering all beverages to their proper locations. The position reports to the Logistics Manager, with whom he/she/they will work to ensure all orders are packed and loaded correctly. The Delivery Driver will also be involved with account maintenance related tasks. 

Fonta Flora Brewery is a small but thriving craft brewery where no job is too large or too small for anyone. All employees are expected to pitch in where needed and to be flexible with changing day-to-day job duties. Candidates must share Fonta Flora’s commitments to quality, safety, business ethics, continuous innovation, local agriculture and our own unique culture.

The successful candidate for this role will be comfortable with repetitive tasks, physical labor, and standing/moving for extended periods of time. The candidate must have a valid Driver’s License and be comfortable driving for extended periods of time while utilizing GPS mapping technology. The ideal candidate will possess a sense of urgency and punctuality, while also being approachable and friendly with clients or customers of Fonta Flora. Candidates should be able to physically lift up to 50-75 lbs.

ERRDAY Job Tasks
– Loading, unloading, and delivery of our craft beer to retail accounts
– Loading and unloading of company vehicles including operating a company forklift to load and
unload packages
– Preparing and delivering packaged products to our additional tasting room locations in
applicable territories 
-Transport of kegs, dirty and clean, back and forth from our farm location to our Morganton
location
– In tandem with the Sales and Distribution Manager and Lead Driver, compile and maintain a
detailed account spreadsheet
– Prepare and deliver products to a self-distributed network of accounts
– Ensure thorough coverage of POS material at accounts
– Invoice customers when necessary
– Collect payment when necessary
– Obtaining customer signature for goods delivered
– Verify outgoing orders with Sales and Distribution Manager and Lead Driver
– Supporting the occasional delivery of a product as needed to accounts with last-minute
requests
– Picking up equipment and [raw] materials from local vendors/farmers 
– Providing efficient and safe delivery and pick-up, while representing the company in a
professional manner
– Keeping a maintenance log on our delivery vehicle and assuming ownership of the upkeep
and cleanliness of this vehicle
– Working with account managers to ensure glassware and beer lines are cleaned
– Clean draft lines at accounts as needed
– Keeping customers informed by answering questions regarding products and service 
– Ensuring packages conform to Fonta Floras’ features of service, that proper labeling is
provided, and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate
– Cleaning, washing and performing minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary,
maintaining neat and clean personal appearance to uphold company's public image
– Notifying supervisor of any safety concerns
– Be a team player with ability to interact with all levels within the organization 
– Preparation of an endless array of ingredients bound for beer
– Assist with promotional events
– Maintain an orderly and safe work environment within department as well as entire facility,
– Participate in regular departmental meetings to review issues and propose solutions,

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
– Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
– Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background and driving record check 
– Must have and maintain an active applicable State Driver’s License
– Must be able to demonstrate safe, responsible driving habits and parking maneuvers
– Minimum 1 year of experience operating a delivery vehicle
– Able to work flexible hours including nights, overnights, overtime, weekends and holidays
– High School Diploma or GED, or two years’ related work experience equivalent 
– Knowledge in organizing and distributing items, materials and merchandise

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
– Up to 100% travel time may be required
– Twice a month overnight stays for Triangle delivery runs (in a company provided hotel room)

Private Events Coordinator

Location: Morganton, Nebo, Charlotte

FLSA Classification/Status: Part Time, Hourly 

Reports To: Director of Marketing [Public Events Coordinator]

We are currently seeking a part-time Private Events Coordinator to coordinate/execute our current Private Event bookings and be a creative force to grow our Private Event revenue across all three locations. In addition, this position will also share responsibility with and provide assistance to the Public Events Coordinator.

Job Purpose

The Private Events Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for all inquiries and logistics required to successfully book and execute private events at our three facilities. This will include handling incoming event requests from prospective customers, determining their event needs, and consulting on the feasibility of our locations to meet their needs. The Private Events Coordinator will also work with customers to coordinate vendors (i.e. food, music, decorations, etc.) for any events, if needed. Finally, the Private Event Coordinator will partner with the Director of Marketing/Public Events Coordinator to ensure continuous communication around scheduling and needs for any event and will also provide assistance for any Public Events that are managed by the Public Events Coordinator.

The successful candidate for this role will be heavily focused on details and communication. Planning well in advance will be another key component for the role as will maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, and the Fonta team. Timely and effective follow up, both internally and with external clients/vendors, will be crucial.

With a goal of increasing our Event revenue in 2022/2023, we are seeking a highly motivated, capable and goal-oriented individual to help us reach these targets. This individual will specifically be in charge of growing our private events revenue. This individual should also share our focus on partnering with local businesses, maintaining great community relationships, and finding creative ways to grow our event business. ERRDAY Job Tasks

– Handle incoming inquiries from prospects who would like to hold private events at any of our three locations,

– Work with those prospects to determine their needs and how we might say “yes” to accommodate their event,

– Proactively source Event opportunities through various Associations, Wedding Planners, or Community Groups, etc.,

– Partner with Fonta Flora Marketing and Social Media to develop material showcasing our facilities, including photo and video content,

– Coordinate vendor logistics and serve as the point person for event food/catering, music/entertainment, or decorations needed,

– Manage an event bartender team to adequately schedule and staff all private events accordingly,

– Develop a close working relationship with our Taproom Manager and assistant managers to allow for flawless communication and execution of private events,

– Maintain a living document and timeline for all private event details – consistently communicate these details to all members of the F/F Operations and Marketing teams,

– Maintain and update private events contracts,
– Keep private event clients informed by consistently following up with them and scheduling onsite consultations before the day of the actual event,

– Be onsite for day of actual private event to coordinate bartender staff and to ensure smooth execution of event, 

– Oversee and be on site for coordination and setup of vendors day of event, 

– Track and analyze Event revenue numbers to direct and guide personal activities and efforts

– Meet monthly & quarterly with Controller/Treasurer to analyze private event revenue, goals, and targets

–  Coordinate with Controller/Treasurer for proper execution of event contracts, pricing, invoicing, and payments

– Manage individual administrative duties and paperwork professionally

– Provide assistance to Public Events Coordinator at any of our three locations

– Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws

– Proudly represent the Fonta Flora brand both on and off site
– Other tasks as assigned

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

– High School Degree, or Bachelor’s degree preferred

– Two years’ experience supporting Events or front-facing Customer Service

– Strong Planning and Organizational Skills
