a blended mixed-culture ale fermented with local 2nd use blueberry, muscadine and sangiovese grapes, strawberry, yellow cherries and conditioned on CA & NC rosemary

Brewed with water from our wells along with 99% local ingredients

Conjured up in collaboration with the mixed-ferm fam over at The Bruery of Placentia, California.

Longtime fans and admirers of this brewery, we remember hunting and slugging 750’s of Hottenroth like there was no tomorrow. Turns out, however, that there is a tomorrow and in that tomorrow, was a world where it would get harder and harder to sell mixed-culture beers, especially in large(er) format bottles.

But fear not, folks! We would never dream of giving up on our mixed-culture program. It quite literally helped define who we are as a brewery and I’d say the same for the homies over at The Bruery.

Tasting through barrels at our Whippoorwill Farm in Nebo, North Carolina with these Cali dreamers took us all down a path saturated in a menagerie of different fruit. A cornucopia of carefully selected fruited stock was then married with rosemary, from CA and NC, toasted up in-house.

Our literal Curtain Call, this beer helps remind us that mixed-fermentation is alive and well and continues to inspire us more than a decade in. The combination of fruit flavors on this little botanical banger is going to smack your taste buds like a standing ovation damn well should.
